An unusual small Tulipiere vase…

This is such a pretty & highly distinctive ironstone glazed blue & white tulipiere vase. Rather rebelliously styled here with daffodils, as I had no tulips to hand, but clearly it’s up to you how you use it.

This example is unmarked, but tulipiere vases were designed in the 17th century to showcase the immense value of highly prized, rare tulip varieties.

Allowing one or two stems to be displayed proudly, these pieces were the height of the Dutch Golden Age.

Standing proudly itself at 20cm tall x 15c, wide I think this is a pretty piece for any collector of blue & white or florist.
