Soviet style, a girl full of character & strength, but who is this oil painting of?

Moody, deep & strong – I love the atmosphere this oil painting creates.

The back is almost as interesting as the front, it’s as though Tolstoy himself has carried this work tucked deep within his furs across the frozen planes.

Please note that there is a tear to the canvas which has had a rather rudimentary repair.
