Vintage Japanese papier mache theatre face masks.

Friend or foe? I love these theatre masks, I find their grotesque charm utterly….well charming.

Made from papier mache,  there are variations to each as they have been hand painted, but essentially they fall into three categories – which is your favourite?

A brightly coloured pop of fun, I have framed one of these at home as a three dimensional portrait & he makes me smile every time I pass him.

Each mask measure approximately 18cm high x 13cm wide

Currently, there are no eye holes but you could easily adapt this if you wished to wear your mask.
